Nowadays, in this society that
seems to open its many doors and allows us to do everything
that we love, we find ourselves lost in a sea of moments where
we have to choose one way or the other. This decision can change
our lives completely. The moment of indecision can last sometimes
hours or even days, and it can even oppress and asphyxiate us.
e-gobio
is a show that surprises because of the many changes in rhythm,
and for the actions of the character; who even if he moves in
a world of doubts and questions with no answers, presents an
extraordinary internal coherence. The audience will be shocked
by the way in which the character faces each new problem. A
particular struggle of life in society, where the whole world
can feel identified. His loneliness wraps around him from all
sides, and can't decide either one thing nor the other. A load
of questions cross his mind: Should he get married? Does he
want to live alone? What work should he do? Which is the correct
decision? Contemporary society offers us a range of possibilities
that sometimes drag us to a sea of doubts. What life do we want
to lead? Everything is one "e-gobio". (Agobio in Spanish
means, a burden, a load, so e-gobio is the burden that the character
has through the piece).
This is a show of decisions, indecisions, daily situations,
exaggerated movements, nonsense, pauses, subtlety, action, reaction...
All that and much more, through movement and no text, shows
us the struggle of our character: To live life alone, but surrounded
by people. Definitively, a show that treats the ridiculousness
of every human being. An acid, cruel and entertained
critique of the fight that we all have inside. |
